creative projects: soft edges

An early experiment in an ongoing project: a visual exploration of water, deep time, urban life, climate and imagination. I am using multimedia and printmaking to evoke pre-colonial waterways and landscapes of the DC urban area where I live.

An act of visual imagination that thinks in past and future tenses. Through remembering how water wants to be free, I imagine an urban future where water is ally, life-giving, regenerative, joyful, and essential to who we are. See this piece on Khôra, a curated arts and literary space, paired with Bec Bell-Gurwitz flash fiction, Two Glories.
